Flash 5 Bible Reviewed by Joyce Evans This is the finest Bible I've seen to date. It is not simply a remake of version 4. It is huge! It's got all kinds of new real world examples in it. What I like best is the addition of tutorials and stories by 40 different experts in the field of Flash! Now that's value, you get to benefit from their collective years of experince. ___ If you are new to flash you may be intimidated by the shear size of this book, but don't be, the beginning chapters will help you along. This is a great book if you want something that can get you started and help you along the way as you advance in your abilities. ___ If you can only afford one Flash book, its got to be this one because it covers the whole flash arena. Of course if you can afford more than one book there are other specialy flash books that are superb as well. ___ Ok, you probably want to know some of whats included in the Flash 5 Bible, its hard to know where to begin, I couldn't possibly begin to even scratch the surface, but I'll try. ___ You'll learn about the Flash environment, and how to make graphics, add sound. Then you'll move into adding some basic interactivity to Flash movies and move into prgramming Flash movies with ActionScript. This book even covers how to use Flash with Generator and other programs such as Photoshop and Discreet 3D Studio max. Of course you'll need to know how to export or publish your movie which the authors gracefully teach you. ___ On the CD-ROm you get Flash 5 add-ons, plug-ins, trial versions of Flash and Acid Pro and more as well as templates and examples from the book. ___ I highly recommend the Flash 5 Bible to be added to your night stand, next to your other Bible for anyone serious about developing Flash movies.
