I've owned this book since 1974, using it with tracing vellum to practice my calligraphy hand. Since those days the computer has taken over, but you can bet that I have referred to it often. I've even scanned these pages, dragging and dropping the letters in the graphic file and set this magnificient form of lettering for packaging, printing and publishing. Yes, it takes a little more time. But, YES you'll get some stunning results that will make a truly stand-out finished piece. I've even gotten inquiries asking where the font can be purchased -- and the satisfaction of saying the font's not available, you'll have to build that lettering by hand. Many of the alphabets have ragged and swashy edges and finishes. This gives the lettering a hand-made look that we haven't seen in any font. Plus, you can esaily copy and paste parts of letters into other letters, and modify the letters slightly for a truly original masterpiece.
