Inside Dreamweaver 4
- Inside Dreamweaver 4 leads you through an exercise or a series of exercises, illustrating the use of a Dreamweaver function as well as offering background information, review questions and tips for speeding up the process.
The generous use of tips and techniques greatly enhance the various exercises, bringing you to the next level of your learning. The layout is easy to follow, concise and is logically laid out. A few of the diverse topics covered are, building your own extensions, using databases to generate dynamic Web pages, optimize site and asset management, use templates, libraries, integrate Flash movies, use DHTML timelines and using JavaScript. This book is definitely not a rehash of the Dreamweaver manual, it offers many solutions to everyday problems you may encounter. I prefer to do a factual type of review which points out the teaching style and content of a book. But with all the reviews I've recently done on Dreamweaver I'm sure you are beginning to wonder what the differences are. Read each review to evaluate the learning level and the teaching style which appeals to you. This book is a combination of many Dreamweaver books methods of teaching. It is project or exercise based rather than a reference but it goes far beyond that of a beginner. I'd recommend this book to those who learn by doing, who are beyond the very beginner stage to intermediate and those who want to get a good grip on Dreamweaver.
