Inside Photoshop 7 After reviewing each edition of Gary David Bouton's "Inside Photoshop" series one might suspect that it gets to be a bit 'old hat' after a while. I would think so too. But it just doesn't happen that way -- each new edition is a whole new discovery all over again!

Although 98% of Photoshop 7 is exactly the same as Photoshop 6 David and his blue-ribbon team of co-authors have managed to bring forth a fact-packed and fun-to-read companion. Aside from the thoroughly developed step-by-step techniques, the book is surprisingly full of tidbits that have escaped most other authors. And, with each tutorial there are so many tips and tricks you'll have to go back just to make sure you got them all. If you haven't experienced the Inside series yet, let me say up front it's not a "classroom" book. It's intention is not to spoon-feed you from beginner to expert and it really doesn't promise that. However it does promise to deliver real-world techniques in Photoshop that no user should be without. And don't let some of the more whacky scenarios deceive you either. While they will entertain you, they'll also arm you with some rather serious know-how that will come in handy in actual projects. All the while you'll be comfortably entertained as if being taught by a friend. The pictures and art used for examples is fresh and lively, and the writing is persuasive yet light. If you've followed the series you'll enjoy this new excursion -- if you haven't yet experienced it, then you're surely in for a treat. The Inside books by Gary and friends continues to be one of my favorites. I'll bet it becomes one of yours too!
